Minnesota North College Itasca announced the hiring of Kayla Swanson to the Itasca athletic department for the upcoming 2024-2025 season.
Swanson will join the Itasca Campus as the Head Softball Coach. She is taking over for former head coach, Kyle Erickson. She is an ICC graduate and holds a degree from Viterbo University in Sport Management & Leadership.

She moved home after graduation for an internship with Dan Mell, the former athletic director at Greenway High School. She has been an assistant to Erickson since 2021, with a specialization in pitching and defense.
Kayla Swanson also works at the Itasca Economic Development Corporation and the Forge, working as the Operations and Outreach Manager.
"I am looking forward to giving back to the community, as it has provided me with many opportunities!"
